Attention all prospective crew members !

Please read the information below carefully before offering yourself as crew.

The Go East Rally is not a race and the Down Under Rally does not sail to a schedule.

The goal departure date for the 2019 Go East Rally is the 6th of May however there is the possibility / likelihood that the rally departure will be delayed should suitable weather not be forecast for a voyage departing on the 6th May.

All those sailing with the rally MUST be available and ready to depart no less than 2 days prior to tHE 6th May.

There are also several rally related events that will take place from the 1st May - 6th May on the Gold Coast including the outward clearance of vessels and crew by the Australian Border Force which is mandatory for all persons sailing on the vessel.

Once the rally departs the voyage will take 5-7 days dependent upon the vessel.

Therefore if you are not available for the entire month of May to allow for delays and for you to attend the rally events you may find yourself having to pull out at the last minute which will be disappointing for you and an issue for the vessel you are joining.

If this is not possible you should perhaps reconsider your situation before offering yourself as crew.

Hi,

My husband & I are the owner of a Hanse 350 and would like to do the Go East Rally in 2020, hence, to get a taste for the adventure I’d love to help someone achieve their dream in sailing to New Caledonia in 2019. Alas due to work commitments my husband is unable to get away also.

We’ve been club racing and cruising for 7 years now and more recently enjoying some class racing.
